On popular demand!

Sindhuri's story was such a hit, I have people asking me for more info about the wedding and the vendors she worked with, specially her makeup artist. Fortunately I was able to connect with Chitra Maudgil (for Sindhuri's full story read here) and write an excerpt for you about the makeup stories.

Sindhuri's interest in makeup made her cross paths with Chitra and learn a couple of makeup looks from her. "We hit it off and when Sindhuri called me months after to do her wedding makeup, I was in!" recalls Chitra.

On asking about the final wedding look and how they went about it, Chitra reveals: "The bride wanted bold eye makeup. While doing makeup, I analyze the face and its features. Sindhuri has beautiful, big brown eyes and she wanted to make them the focus feature of the look. She wanted winged out eyeliner and fluttering eyelashes. So, for her Sangeeth I gave her a green frosty eye shadow with brown shadows on the crease. Keeping the lips a subtle brownish red." (Some real insights for those who want "oh that perfect look")

Chitra continues, "For the wedding we went all out and did different nuances of gold on the eyelid with browns on the crease and a crisp wing liner. I also enhanced her lashes and gave a bright red glossy color to her lips. The skin was kept matte throughout and completed with lots of contouring to give dimension to the face in the wedding photographs." (A thorough professional I say!)

When asked what brings out the perfect look, Chitra says "It’s important to know what the bride wants so we had a trial before hand and figured out the looks." Chitra also did her bhabi's makeup. Her bhabi wanted a natural fresh look. Chitra gave her a perfected skin with a rosy blush that matched her fresh lipstick. Khol, mascara and neutral eye shadows to complete the look. (Awwww... which girl doesn't adore makeup, at least once in a while)

And lastly a loving message from Chitra to the new bride: "She is a lovely girl who is a good cook and an even better host. I wish her my best in her life ahead!"
